If you’re planning a trip to Porto then the ‘House in Porto’ is a great place to stay.

The house is located in Rua de Tomas Gonzaga a quiet street in Porto’s stunning old town. It is a small but very functional property with around 120 square metres of floor space.

The property boasts magnificent views over the river and is ideally situated to explore the city on foot with the added advantage of being close to the Metro, the main railway station (Sao Bento) and many bus routes.

There are plenty of good restaurants within easy reach too.

The house has been completely renovated to the highest standards and sleeps 4 people very comfortably. It has three floors.

From the street you enter into a small hall area where there is a desk with a computer and internet connection. There is also a cupboard for coats.

You go down three steps into a kitchen which is equipped with microwave and conventional oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher.

Next to the kitchen is a dining area with a round table which can seat up to six people.

On this level there is a separate WC.

From the dining area a staircase leads down to a small comfy sitting room with TV and a cupboard which houses the washing machine. There is a door which leads out to a large balcony, with table and chairs for six.

On the top floor and you’ll find two good sized bedrooms both with double beds with ample cupboard and storage space.

Between the bedrooms there is a large bathroom with shower, bidet and WC.

Full internet access is provided and there is also a hi-fi system with a connection for an iPod.

The house is managed in Porto by Sofia Alves, who will be available to welcome you on your arrival after 1300.

She will explain how everything in the house works and give you a key for the duration of your stay.

The inclusive charge for the house per night is £100 with a minimum stay of two nights.

For 6 nights or a full week (7 nights) the charge is £500.

All linen is provided.

We require a 50% deposit on confirmation of your reservation. The remaining 50% will become due one month before your arrival.

Both payments should be made using a sterling cheque, made out to and sent to one of the owners.

Please note that your deposit is non-refundable.

If you require extra cleaning help from Sofia, she is happy to do this. You should speak to her on arrival and make arrangements to pay her direct.

Please remember that she is only available to work in the afternoons.

All breakages in the house must be paid for.
